A skeleton is found on the battlegrounds of an old Civil War battle. Despite the location, the body belongs to a present day dentist, Dan Pinard. As Brennan investigates, she discovers that he is a homosexual football player, so everyone is a suspect to Booth.

Also, Jarrod returns home from traveling, and the news he brings shocks Booth.
